Successful Metabolomics course in Brazil

MB participants 2015

Participants and teachers of the first Brazilian Metabolomics Course.

From 23-27 February 2015, our first course abroad took place: the Advanced Course Metabolomics for Microbial Systems Biology was held at Unicamp, Campinas, Brazil. BSDL and BE-Basic organized this course together with our partner universities Delft University of Technology, Universidade de São Paulo and Universidade de Campinas. The cooperation resulted in a team of four teachers from the Netherlands and Germany, five Brazilian, Chilean and one American teacher.

43 motivated students (see picture below) spent 5 days on both experimental techniques and modelling in microbial metabolomics research. Professors and students were all very positive about this course in Campinas enjoying the intensive learning experience and atmosphere of the Campinas campus. We’d love to organize this course in Brazil again in the future!
